The question isn’t whether AI creates unemployment in aggregate—that’s genuinely uncertain—but whether we can help people navigate transitions quickly enough that technological disruption doesn’t become personal catastrophe.

The Open Questions That Matter Most

Several crucial uncertainties will shape AI’s trajectory more than technical capabilities alone.
